To answer your questions generally, the answers to 1 and 2 are yes. HOWEVER, it's impossible to evaluate a person based on just this one gene. Unfortunately as we get answers, we also get more questions as you have found.
I generally recommend these days that one starts eliminating the synthetic forms of these vitamins, and focus only on clean whole food sources of nutrition (assuming no fortified processed foods). See if that helps. Then if you still don't feel as good as you think you should, look for a functional medicine doctor who can evaluate you further. Because nobody can diagnose or treat you over the internet.
